As we approach the seventh anniversary of the catastrophic events of September 11th, 2001, America looks back and remembers, but also looks ahead. While that day will never be forgotten, the construction of the Freedom Tower signifies the “enduring spirit of freedom” that America embodies now, embodied seven years ago, and will embody forever. Standing 1,776 feet tall in honor of the year the Declaration of Independence was signed, the Freedom Tower is expected to be complete by 2012.

Watch the video and see what the new tower will look like.

    Rebuild the TWINS –
Resemble what we lost – The souls lost deserve better and we must remember. The rebuild must look like those massive American man made buildings that were ripped from Americans. Please reconsider this plan – Suggestion, Resemble Twins, top half glass, no tenants.

  3. Rami Says:

A truly beautiful video. The song is “A Warming Place” by NIN and Stella Soleil. You can find it on http://remix.nin.com/

  4. Chantal Says:

I just come back from NYC for the weekend. I went to Ground Zero. I made it to remembering this day, I also made it to complete a stage of my mourning, although I lived the évenement by far, I needed to make it, to never forget and look forward. (A warm place/Nine Inch Nails is a good choice)

  5. Julie Says:

The name Freedom Tower is a perfect name not 1 World Tower we are not one world, we are one country, the best country, the free country.

  6. Fred Says:

Ihis retired Army Master Sargeant with 2 kids in the military is dismayed with the changing of the name of the Freedom Tower. This shows the shallowness of your patriotism! I would like all the true patriots out there to chime in on this issue.

  7. Jamie Says:

I can’t believe that the majority of americans haven’t questioned these attacks and the truth behind 9/11/2001.

If we really are true patriots that stand for our constitution, and believe that America should stay a sovereign nation and not become a superstate with Canada and Mexico, then research the North American Union, SSP, NAFTA Super HWY or Texas Corridor, ect. *Research this thoroughly*

I Stand behind the Constition and the Bill of Rights.
…Maybe we should be like George W. Bush and say “it’s just a goddamn piece of paper”. Then again with a father like George Bush that operated the “Iran-Contra” operations, …we could expect nothing less.

***My heart goes out to people that lost their lives and the families that had to endure such pain***

GLASS from China!!! Why? Are they going to get the steel from China also? My next question is why call it the Freedom Tower if all or most of the material comes from other countries. I have heard that rent is somewhere in the range of $40,000 a month and the majority of the tenants have broken their contracts to lease in the proposed building. On another note it has also been said that the man and/or his company, doing this project, cannot secure bonding to get started so I assume the project is scraped for now!!! Funny how God takes care of things like this. I am real surprised that there wasn’t ear marks put in a stimulus package!

  9. automotive floor jack Says:

I must say, I could not agree with you in 100%, but it’s just my IMHO, which indeed could be very wrong.
p.s. You have an awesome template . Where did you find it?

  10. Dub L. Says:

I work for a major glass factory and have heard the glass for the Freedom Tower is going to be bought and made from China!. It doesn’t matter where or who makes the glass, but it should be made in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. If not why build it and call it the Freedom Tower. It wasn’t Americans that destroyed what we had, it was outside of us, so why let people other than us make what we want everyone to be proud of.

  11. Douglas Says:

Good video. Newyork, please build it already! America lets get osama bin ladin.

  12. Alex D,Scotland Says:

On the new tower builders should colour the glass at top
to show a huge Stars & Stripes

  13. Mike C Says:

Must we really see the planes crashing. I think one can mention 9/11 without being so graphic.

  14. nikki k Says:

nice work on the music josh

  15. prettyhatemachine Says:

the other song is Adrift In A Warm Place. By ninhurt. (my older brother)

we stumbled upon this and had no idea they were using his song. but as it is on a creative commons website they have the rights to do so.

enjoy. the song is availiable for download from http://www.remix.nin.com

    then search “ninhurt”

  16. erin Says:

Actually the music is a NIN remix by artist Josh(aka ninhurt) he has spent so much time and effort making this music n I should know I’m his fiancé , and I know he is very proud and overwhelmed to have his remix ” adrift in a warm place” used. As he would never be so bold as to correct anyone I think he should for once take credit for recreating such beautiful music. Thanks for the kind words I know he appreciates the. Cheers from aust:)

  17. ninhurt Says:

It’s funny what you can find on the internet and where your work can end up. What a great video and great music… Im not sure about the vocals however the second half on the track in my remix called “Adrift In A Warm Place” and is available as a free download here…

  18. Matthew Says:

It’s tragic how quickly we can forget something so major in America’s recent history, much less its entire history! Remember how proud everyone was to be an American immediately after the attack? How can we lose that sense of patriotism so quickly?!? I cannot wait for this tower to be completed and I want to be there when it is opened!

To those who are saying that they want the Twin Towers back, we all do, but the fact of the matter is that we cannot change history, and I would almost find it disrespectful to rebuild the Twin Towers, as though we were carrying on like nothing ever happened. I think that the Freedom Tower will be a beautiful addition to the New York City skyline, and the Reflection Pools that they are placing where the Twin Towers stood will serve as excellent reminders of what was and what took place on that infamous day.

Pray for our country and her leaders, and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

  19. thomas Says:

WE WANT THE TWIN TOWERS BACK

  20. thomas Says:

  21. BLADE Says:

HOW YA GOING BUDDY? GOOD SHOTS OF FREEDOM TOWER AND NWTC BUILDINGS OF 9/11′S DUAL IMPACT SHOCK! ALMOST SIMILAR TO C.G.I-DISPLAY? ANYHOW THE ENTIRE WORLD IS GAZING AT THE BIG APPLE LIKE ADAM AND EVE IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN IE: BY TAKING GINORMOUS HUMUNGOUS BITES OUT OF IT FOR UP AND COMING PROJECTS. ANYHOW CONSPIRACY THEORIES ARE STILL RUNNING WILD AS IF BIG ALQUI TERRORISTS DID IT OR U.S.A-GOV OFFICIALS RAN A MUCK TO BRING THEM ALL DOWN? NEVERMIND THE WHOLE WORLD LIES UNDER SWAY OF THE WICKED ONE – SATAN THE BLOODY DEVIL! SO DON’T PANIC IF ANYONE WHATSOEVER DRIVELS TOO MUCH GARBAGE ABOUT 9/11 WILL NO DOUBT GET EVERY THING COMING TO HIM IN FULL FORCE! SO KEEP SPREADING THE NEWS! THEREFORE BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR THE 2ND COMING OF J.C.ARIEL AS NOT MANY WILL HAVE THE STRENGTH TO STAND! SO GOOD LUCK FOR THE FUTURE AL!

    Rebuild the twin towers ,

  26. Cristina Says:

The Freedom Tower will stand for what is best in us, Americans, it will give us faith, strenght, and hope in tomorrow, for us and for our children. The Land of Freedom and Hope, this is what I call My Country, the United States of America.

  27. Joe Says:

I thought it was a great video. At the beginning, it made be think of French class and not believing that it was actually happening. Then when they panned across the river and showed the towers, it gave me goosebumps(I think the music helped with that) and filled me with hope. I think it looks amazing and will mean a lot to this country. :-)

  28. admin Says:

    Hi Michael,

That is actually 2 different versions of A Warm Place spliced together. The initial version with the vocals is called A Warm Place (illum tangendo) with vocals by Stella Katsoudas. You can find it (and lots of other really good stuff) at remix.nin.com

  29. Michael Alexander Owens Says:

I’ve had this video playing on a loop all day long. Could someone tell me which artist did the track used? I know the song is A Warm Place, by Nine Inch Nails, but I have never heard this version of it before, I’d love to buy the track or CD if it’s available anywhere. The vocals really open it up.

  30. Steven Says:

I forgot to add this is a great video. The beginning made me tear up. Excellent job.

  31. Steven Says:

The artist is Trent Reznor of ‘Nine Inch Nails’. The song is called ‘A Warm Place’

  32. Bruce Says:

Really nice video and the music was hauntingly beautiful! Does anyone recognize the artist?

  33. George Says:

Nicely done. As a survivor of these events, I’m grateful that these images are still in the forefront of people’s minds even at this time. WE WILL NEVER FORGIVE… NOR FORGET!!

  34. Sally from England Says:

The Freedom Tower video is great, We visited New York in January and paid our respects at ground zero, we are now busy saving to come over and see the Freedom Tower in 2012 – An amazing tower for an amazing city.

  35. Sandra Says:

The more I see these images, the more I can’t believe the tragedy…and we were all witnesses. Great video.
