I can’t believe this is the final design. Two holes in the ground where the towers were say “we’ll never heal”, not “we’ll never forget.” An uninspired single tower says “we’ll always be afraid of reaching higher.”
The Freedom Tower construction is progressing very slowly.
Today it only stands 40 feet above street level at its central core.
I must say I do like the design.
